The Concept:
Tophat Furnaces comprise of two modules – a fixed base and a movable lid (Tophat). The product is loaded onto the base after which the lid is lowered over the product and onto the base for firing.
The Advantages:
- The furnace moves to the load and NOT vice versa
- The furnace has no moving parts (doors, hinges etc) which maintains rigidity and mechanical robustness
- As a completely sealed unit with no junctions or joints, thermal losses are minimal and the furnace maintains an
even heat distribution
